PROJECT MANAGER/CONTRACT ADMINISTRATOR REQUIREMENT

Position:

Join our professional team of project managers, engineers and quantity surveyors working across London and the south of England.

You will be a personable, flexible and responsive individual with a passion for team working. As a member of NRP you will strive to deliver excellence in everything you do. You will be trained by our subject experts to become a leader in your field. We focus on ensuring quality of service for our clients and hold close relationships with our fellow consultants and specialists who have come to trust we get things right first time. You will be expected contribute to developing NRP’s overall skillset and competencies through professional development and training. We provide full professional training support, targeting chartership and membership of the relevant body including financial and professional mentorship by one of our internal specialists.

Position available immediately.

Location:

Based at 57 Webber Street, London SE1 0RF. Candidate may be expected to work on site or at the offices of clients and consultants from time to time as the Companies workload demands.

Role:

  • Serve as expert in the delivery of projects, proactively educating stakeholders, championing the approach
  • Oversee the project life cycle, anticipating challenges and overcoming obstacles
  • Ensure programme is controlled and achieves the desired outcomes, through dedication and application of best practices
  • Ensure we develop suitable and standard approaches for project management
  • Definition of project scope and business case management and align this with the programme vision
  • Develop strong partnerships with cross-functional teams including all regions and shared services
  • Management of project, tranches and project planning including milestone management; risk and issue management
  • Provide financial management; maintaining risks, issues, assumptions, actions logs, resource forecasting
  • Help define project requirements from user/client descriptions
  • Drive and promote innovation

Skill:

  • Degree qualification and professional membership preferred
  • Excellent written, and interpersonal skills
  • Driven individual with skills in detailed planning and execution of plans
  • Diplomatic ability to influence others at all levels
  • Strong and demonstrated ability to build lasting relationships with key stakeholders
  • Awareness to effectively communicate with all stakeholders

ASSISTANT/INTERMEDIATE LEVEL QS

Position:

Qualifications:

Either BSc degree in QS min 2:1 and /or minimum 3 years post degree relevant construction experience Or Qualified min MRICS in QS

Requirements & Attributes

  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • Live within 1.5hrs door to door of the office
  • Abide by Practice rules
  • High standard of numeracy
  • Proven Revit or BIM model measurement experience
  • Previous experience of acting as QS on commercial, retail, residential or mixed use schemes.
  • Must be able to assist the business and operational team and have some solid experience in:-
    • Pricing and estimating
    • Procurement and tendering documentation
    • Full Bills of Quantities
    • Specification and works schedules
    • Interim valuations
  • Work in a team under the direction of a senior QS [SQS].
  • Attend meetings with SQS and work with and present to clients and consultants.
  • Be motivated to succeed and become a part of the company structure.
  • Good working knowledge of JCT Suite of contracts
  • Client facing
  • Proficiency in MS software; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project
  • AUTOCAD an advantage
  • Potential to be a work getter
  • Practical construction knowledge
  • Work unsupervised

Specific requirements & proven technical experience:

Pre-contract

  • Pricing and estimating
  • Value engineering
  • Cost planning
  • Assist with strategic advice on procurement
  • Contract documentation
  • Procurement and tendering documentation
  • Measurement of quantities from BIM or REVIT for Bills or estimates
  • Full Bills of Quantities
  • Preparing specification and works schedules
  • Tender evaluation and reporting

Post-contract

  • Interim valuations
  • Assessment of variation costs
  • Production of Cost Report
  • Attend meetings and make notes of meeting for record and distribution
  • Historic cost data collection and compilation
  • Assist with contract administration
