Elizabeth Street Transformation

We are proud to announce the successful transformation of Elizabeth Street into a permanent, high-quality streetscape.

What began as a temporary measure during the pandemic to support local hospitality has now evolved into a significant street enhancement, thanks to the support and funding from Grosvenor Estate.

This project is a prime example of how collaboration can deliver lasting benefits. The new scheme enhances the public realm with superior materials and provides more space for al-fresco dining, learning from the success of the temporary installation.

NRP’s role in the project was crucial in balancing aesthetics with functionality. We were responsible for:

• Ensuring the new planters and seating were designed and located to maintain safety, clear sight lines and pedestrian movement.
• Careful design of footway buildouts
• Working closely with local businesses and Westminster City Council to design effective parking and loading arrangements that operate seamlessly alongside the new dining areas.

The Elizabeth Street project marks the first of several street transformations we are undertaking. We look forward to continuing our work in converting temporary pandemic-era schemes into high-quality, permanent community assets.
