norman rourke pryme were appointed as project manager and cost consultant for the third project of the Metropolitan Police roll-out of patrol bases across the Greater London area. During the design period, the MPA embarked on a change to their procurement strategy and norman rourke pryme assisted with the conversion and implementation of the scheme within the MPA. The project was procured under the SECE initiative using a two stage D&B contract.
The patrol base consisted of the fit-out of an existing industrial unit, including the removal and replacement of existing mezzanine floors to form new offices, briefing rooms, writing rooms, intelligence suite and lockering for 500 personnel, with internal car parking for operational vehicles.
