The Fontwell Roundabout underwent a £4M upgrade to facilitate the construction of a 400 residential lot development as well as improve the safety and flow of traffic through the junction, reducing delays and improving journey times.
NRP were commissioned to provide commercial and project management services for the upgrade, ensuring that the project was completed on time and within budget while adhering to the highest standards of quality and safety. The successful implementation of these improvements is expected to significantly benefit the local community and support future growth in the area.

Improvements to the junction includes the widening of approach roads together with the introduction of traffic signals for A27 arms. Our Project and Programme Management offers a wide range of services. For the Fontwell Roundabout, NRP was responsible for the management of S278 process, production of tender documents, including NEC 4, ECC, Option A, procurement of construction works including from engagement, tender strategy, responses to tender clarifications, negotiation, evaluation to contract award. We were also involved in the post-contract work, acting as a project manager and supervisor under the NEC form of contract, quantity surveying, completion and handover of works, and management of defects and maintenance period.
One of our core values is Collaboration and to ensure the project success we worked together with the contractor to establish good relationship with the key stakeholders, including National Highways, West Sussex County Council, Fontwell Park and business across the site boundaries.
