NRP managed the RIBA Stage 4 design of a new central water storage facility for the Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA).
This project is located at the Weybridge site, home to the Animal and Plant Health Agency and will replace the current non-compliant facility, creating space for future development, increasing water capacity, and enhancing operability and maintainability.
As a Project Manager, NRP oversaw the planning, coordination, and execution of the scheme, ensuring it met all regulatory requirements, stayed within budget and timeline.
As part of our services, we reviewed and upgraded the full tender pack that was used to appoint a Two-Stage Contract. The increased quality of the tender documentation reduced the risk to the client of receiving poor service and impacts to cost and programme.
During this project, the technical review process changed, leading to several technical comments that needed to be addressed. At NRP, one of our core values is Collaboration and to ensure that we met project objectives and stakeholders expectations, we undertook new stakeholders engagement and collaboratively worked with the new Technical Assurance Panel to resolve all the comments.
