Alex is a Director in NRP’s traffic and transportation team based in London. His role involves project management, project director and technical delivery of traffic engineering and modelling projects, as well as being the team leader for the London traffic and transportation team.
A seasoned project manager and director, Alex brings over sixteen years of experience in traffic engineering. He has successfully delivered a wide range of high-profile projects across London and the UK, consistently demonstrating excellence in innovative scheme design, project scheduling, and budget management.
Alex has played a pivotal role in implementing the Healthy Streets approach, contributing to the development of Low Traffic Neighbourhoods, Liveable Neighbourhoods, and rapid-response schemes following the Covid-19 pandemic. His broad skill set includes extensive traffic modelling expertise, with a particular focus on TRANSYT and LINSIG. He has developed numerous models that have successfully passed Transport for London’s audit process.
In addition, Alex is highly experienced in junction design and has led the development of several major road schemes. Many of these involved the creation of temporary traffic management plans to support either long-term off-carriageway developments or the phased delivery of large-scale projects. His knowledge extends to cycle strategy and infrastructure design, stakeholder engagement, and ARCADY and PICADY modelling.
