Chris Brooke

Chris is a Senior Transport Planner in NRP’s traffic and transportation team based in Bristol. His role involves supporting the delivery of a wide range of traffic and transportation projects.

Chris has been in transport planning since 2016 during which time he has gained experience on a wide range of projects. Chris has been involved in projects across many sectors most notably including residential, educational, commercial, and health care. These projects range from location across the south of England and Wales.

He has worked on a range of projects involving the preparation of Travel Plans, Transport Statements and Transport Assessments. This had provided Chris with excellent experience in the preparation and analysis of travel surveys, producing journey time isochrones, creating geographical information systems for cartographic plans, analysing census data, reviewing local and national planning and transport policy, and analysing personal injury collision data.

Chris has experience in the collection and analysis of traffic data for Transport Assessments and Environmental Statements. He is proficient in the use of ARCADY, PICADY and LinSig for the assessment of signalised and priority junctions and roundabouts.

He has used CAD to prepare various highway schemes designs which included increasing junction capacity, placemaking, reducing pedestrian severance, and reducing excessive vehicle speeds.
Chris has good interpersonal skills used to undertake public consultations, highway authority negotiations and communicating effectively with clients.
