Kennedy - Associate Director

Claire has expertise in microsimulation modelling, S-PARAMICS and VISSIM using UTC-VISSIM and VAP, as well as signal design packages, LINSIG, TranEd and TRANSYT and Junctions 9. Understanding all surface transport modes and their interaction, she has led on numerous Interchanges, Cycle Superhighway corridors, Better Junctions transformational schemes, bypasses, and motorways projects. Including: CS5, Victoria Terminus Place, CW9, Stoke Newington Gyratory Removal, Vauxhall Cross, Wolverhampton Interchange, and Filton Smart Motorways.

She has significant experience applying TfL Modelling Guidelines and TfL Model Auditing Process (MAP) having previously been an auditor at TfL as well as heavily contributing to the latest version of the guidelines, where she spent nine months writing it. Internally she delivered numerous high-profile projects as their expert modeller for over eight years and gained solid grounding in solving the complex challenges of London’s transport network for the Mayor’s Transport Strategy. Other modelling guidance she uses include: DfT Guidelines for the Use of Microsimulation Software, and WEBTAG.

Traffic Design guidance she has broad knowledge and practical experience of include: DfT Design manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB), Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions, Traffic Signs Manual, Manual for Streets, London Cycling Design Standards and SQA-0064 (TfL Design of Traffic Signals).

She is highly organised and has excellent communication skills with the ability to work with all stakeholders both internal to Transport for London and Highways England and external. She has a strong track record of meeting targets and deadlines as well as exceeding expectations.
