Marino has 8 years of experience working on and managing transportation projects and teams in the UK. He is highly experienced in leading on the design, modelling and appraisal of a wide variety of projects including active travel, traffic engineering, highway and local junction design and traffic modelling schemes.
His role involves the project management and technical leadership of a variety of traffic engineering and modelling projects and has excellent knowledge of the UK wide and London specific design/modelling standards and processes.
Marino has considerable experience in testing designs and schemes using the Vissim micro simulation software with VISVAP and the junction modelling programs LINSIG, ARCADY and PICADY. He has industry leading experience with the innovative UTC-Vissim and PCMOVA-Vissim interfaces as well as excellent knowledge of the modelling standards in London, gained by producing many schemes and models for TfL and working as a model auditor for TfL.
He has considerable experience in testing designs and schemes using the Visum macro simulation software and the use of TfL’s ONE Model working as a model auditor for TfL. He has considerable experience in GIS software, data analysis and a proven record in the development of automatisation tools for Vissim and Visum, making full use of Python and R programming languages in conjunction with Vissim COM interface.
Comprehensive knowledge and practical experience of UK traffic design and modelling guidance, including the following: LTN 1/20, Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB), SQA-0064 series (TfL Design of Traffic Signals), London Cycling Design Standards (LCDS), Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions (TSRGD), Manual for Streets 1 & 2 (MfS), TfL Modelling Guidelines, TfL Model Auditing Process, Traffic Signs Manual (TSM), and DfT Transport Analysis Guidance (TAG).
