Norman Rourke Pryme (NRP) are entering 2021 requiring several new recruits to support our existing teams. We have recently secured positions on several major frameworks, including TfL’s Highways Engineering Framework and the London Borough of Southwark’s Highways Professional Services Contract. We have also seen growth across our existing clients and are looking to expand our team as a result.

We require multiple candidates of all experience and grades for the positions below.

Full time Traffic Engineers/Highway Designers

Location:< Central London

Opportunity: Norman Rourke Pryme (NRP) is looking to appoint talented Traffic Engineers and highway designers to play a key role in our growing traffic and transportation business in London.

We are looking to fill a number of roles at a variety of skill and experience levels from experienced lead designers and design managers to engineers starting their careers with a passion to contribute to high profile feasibility studies and landmark schemes.

NRP specialise in undertaking transport planning studies and developing traffic and transportation schemes for public and private sector clients. We provide a number of services including scheme design, transport planning and traffic modelling and you will have the opportunity to employ and develop a broad range of capabilities across these areas.

The project work that NRP undertakes is varied, challenging and often high profile due to the clients that we work for in Central London and across the UK. This ensures that the successful candidate will enjoy an interesting and satisfying work-life with many opportunities to develop valuable skills and experience.

It is essential that you have:

  • A good level of professional work experience, with London experience highly desirable.
  • A relevant degree in engineering, a post graduate qualification in transport planning or a suitable level of professional experience to demonstrate capability;
  • A strong understanding and working knowledge of AutoCAD
  • A working knowledge of industry guidance – TSRGD, Manual for Streets etc.
  • A high standard of numeracy;
  • Good written and spoken English;
  • A proficiency with MS Office software and Excel in particular.
  • With experience of project management desirable

Proficiency with some, or all of the following software packages would also be considered beneficial:

  • Autodesk vehicle tracking
  • TRL Junctions 10 (ARCADY/PICADY)
  • JCT LinSig

Remuneration will include a competitive salary that reflects your appointed grade and experience, a company pension, private medical health insurance, group life assurance, membership costs for professional bodies and eligibility for performance related bonuses.
