Travel Plan at Oriel Gardens

Awarded 'Very Good' accreditation by Modeshift STARS

We are delighted that NRP has been awarded ‘Very Good’ accreditation by Modeshift STARS for our Travel Plan at Oriel Gardens, Faringdon.

Oriel Gardens is a Bloors Home development of 380 new homes set within 23 acres of green space and within walking distance of the town centre. Modeshift STARS is the national accreditation scheme for Travel Plans, recognising those that are changing how people travel, rather than simply meeting a planning requirement.

The Travel Plan sets measurable five-year targets for walking, cycling and public transport use, and we are committed to achieving these through a diverse series of measures. We have led its delivery from the outset, including welcome packs, a dedicated webpage and newsletter, and a sustainable travel voucher shaped by residents’ feedback. Regular engagement and a resident survey keep the plan responsive to what residents need and on track to meet its targets.

The accreditation reflects our approach to residential Travel Plans: putting effective measures in place from first occupation, so that sustainable travel options are established as residents settle into their new homes.
