norman rourke pryme were appointed as project managers and cost consultants for the fit-out of this temporary facility. The Patrol Base was designed to accommodate the patrolling functions of a local police station whilst the police station was demolished and rebuilt. The building was designed with a 10 year ‘life expectancy’.
The Patrol Base consists of an extension of the mezzanine floor area, indoor car parking area, modern offices, intelligence suites, briefing room and locker accommodation for 600 personnel. All internal construction was uses traditional trade methodology with a steel mezzanine structure and boarded flooring.
The project was procured under the SECE initiative using a D&B form of contract.
