norman rourke pryme acted on this scheme as Employers Agents and Cost Consultants on behalf of the project funders. The scheme involved the complex renovation of external façades of some of the UK’s best known seaside holiday hotels and was carried out by several contractors over a 12 month term.
The works were carried out to ensure the survival of some striking Victorian architecture into the 21st century. Hotels included Beresford Hotel (Newquay), Savoy Hotel (Bournemouth), Ship and Castle Hotel (St Mawes), St Ives Bay Hotel (St Ives), Windermere Hotel (Windermere), Carlton Hotel and the Country Hotel (Llandudno), Royal Hotel (Weymouth), Royal Esplanade Hotel (Isle of Wight), Valley of the Rocks Hotel (Lynton), Grand Atlantic Hotel (Western-Super-Mare), Liberties Hotel (Blackpool), Norbeck Hotel (Scarborough) and Dilkhusa Hotel (Ilfracombe).
