The project comprised the site clearance and demolition and the construction of 499 bed student accommodation in 5 blocks.
Blocks A and E provided 90 beds each over 6 floors; Blocks B and D provided 120 beds each over 8 floors whilst the central Block E provided 80 beds over 5 floors with a gym on the lower 2
floors. The 5 blocks were constructed on a sloping site centred on an open auditorium.
The project achieved a BREEAM Assessment rating of ‘very good’. The buildings were pre-let to Winchester University and were designed to suit their requirements.
