Over the past week, the ‘NRPedallers’ have cycled 554 miles and together with fundraising leading up to the March event, has collectively raised an incredible £1400, which will go directly to Smart Works.

The ‘Cycle for Smart Works’ event which was held between 1-8 March, consisted of over 180 teams and 807 cyclists, and has collectively raised over £170,000 for the Charity, and had the teams cycle more than 82,000 miles, which is the same as cycling the circumference of the earth 3 times over!

NRP is super proud to have been able to support Smart Works for this event, as well as for generous contributions via NRP’s separate JustGiving page in the lead up to the cycling challenge, and we look forward to continuing our support further throughout the year on various other initiatives. The NRP Women’s Committee said:

To be able to support the Smart Works Charity has been such a privilege, and the Woman’s Committee want to thank NRP staff, Directors, friends and family for all contributing to this incredible organisation, with which we share many similar values and will help support unemployed women by providing them with clothes, coaching and the confidence needed to succeed when starting a new chapter in their lives.“

Smart Works is a UK charity that exists to give women the confidence they need to reach their full potential, secure employment and change the trajectory of their lives, all of which strongly aligns with NRP’s own values. Particularly in the aftermath of the pandemic there are more women who need our support and for the past five years the event has raised over £500,000 and the Charity has helped over 20,000 women across the UK so far and we are proud to be able to help this number continue to grow and to support this amazing organisation.

If you still want to donate, you can do so via our JustGiving page here, or if you have some high-quality workwear or accessories you would like to donate, then please email us at to arrange a drop-off.
